New powdercoat spray booth
Well finally got all the stuff moved into the new shop. Still organizing everything but realized it’s also time to build a new powdercoat spray booth.
The old booth was made from wood, and really just not working well anymore, more powder was getting through the filters than i would like.
SO… got some legit powdercoat filters (these things are HUGE) and gonna build a new booth from square tube and sheet metal.
I’m gonna try plumbing the 2 new filters to a 2HP dust collector. That way if somehow any powder gets past the filters its trapped in the dust collector and not all over the shop…
Well, thats the idea anyway.
Just started today and had my buddy Steve come in to help out. He wanted to practice his welding anyway.
More to come.
HUGE Nordson Powdercoat filters
A pile of galvanized sheet metal
120 feet of square tube (not quite enough either)
Steve, about to weld some stuff…
Well its frame is on wheels now, this booth will also have 3 doors that open out to make the booth about 7′ deep
this is the basic skeleton for today.. still working on it 🙂
