Powdercoat Spray booth Post2
Well we put the metal brake to good use today! thats for sure.
Unfortunately the brake is only 4 feet wide and the booth is 5 so some overlapping had to occur.
Steve came in again to help. Here he is welding up some extra side braces to screw the sheet metal to.
For now just gonna use what i have here, so a couple of 4″ hose attachments for the dust collector.
Drew a rough idea and then hit it with the plasma cutter…
1/2″ threaded rod will hold the filter once i cut off the extra rod.
Back all put together and sealed with silicone and tape.
ready for filters
and here we are… This booth has a floor, not to stand on, but to catch any powder that falls.
parts will be hung from the top with swivel mounts and you will stand outside the booth and spray inward.
quickly threw some hoses on to test it for leaks
This is the basic idea.
Still needs a few more pieces of sheet metal fit, and eventually the doors for the front to extend the booth out. But that will have to wait for now.
till next time 🙂
